Joe Stern is our new Curriculum Specialist and Continuing Education Coordinator. He has been in the electrical industry for almost 30 years, starting as a material handler and moving on to Journeyman and Master Electrician. He has a Bachelor's Degree from Cardinal Stritch University with a specialty in education. Joe has worked on curriculum development projects for both individual courses and programs while teaching at WCTC. Being on both sides of the classroom has fostered a passion for helping others learn, as well as realizing the importance of utilizing a multifaceted approach to create an active learning environment. He has learned the importance of supporting and encouraging both instructors and learners.Joe has also worked as a Building Engineer at a data center performing industrial electrical maintenance, diagnostics and troubleshooting.
Joe and his wife Trish have two grown children and four grandchildren. He enjoys researching, reading and Classic TV. ln his spare time, Joe keeps busy with DIY home improvements, yard projects, and music. He is an ardent audiophile spanning a wide variety of music genres. Other interests include travel, and bicycling.
Todd is our new Program Specialist/Student Services Director. He has 36+ years in the electrical trade, specializing in industrial motor control. Todd started apprentice interviewing which led to appointments with the Apprenticeship Committee and Vacation Holiday Committee, most recently administering the CW/CE tests.
In this position, he will be increasing development of the CW/CE program, providing an avenue for questions from training participants, and promoting the industry at career fairs.
Todd and his wife of 39 years have a married son and 1 grandchild. He enjoys spending time with his family, working around the home, and restoring his classic car.
Emily is our main Admin for our Apprenticeship department. She has been working with us since June 2021. She has her Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Administration and 9+ years’ experience in customer service/administration. She is here to assist with Apprentice applications, current Apprentices, our electrical Contractors, and any other general questions you may have.
Chelsea is our main Admin for our Continuing Education department. She has been working with us since October 2021. She has 8+ years’ experience in customer service/administration. She is here to assist with Continuing Education class registration, CEU and credits, our instructors, and any other general questions you may have.
